1. Choose a pattern and print at a size that fits your pumpkin.
2. Tape it to a clean, dry surface and transfer the shapes.
3. For cutout patterns, an adult cuts the black shapes and keeps white bridges intact.
4. For painting or surface etching, keep the pumpkin wall intact; those designs contain enclosed details.
5. Use a battery light for carved pumpkins, or display your painted creation.

Detail labels describe the artwork, not a tested skill rating. These originals have not been physically test-carved. Detailed branches, legs and thin bridges may need to be made wider. Children can use the patterns as painting inspiration while adults handle cutting.
